Firstly, it has always accomplished more than its small membership would suggest. Secondly, members of the general public have always considered salvationists a bit odd. Overcoming: The Salvation Army, is dedicated to the cadets of the 'Overcomers' session ordained and commissioned as Salvation Army Officers at the Royal Albert Hall, London, England in June 1976. It follows one individual cadet through training, and through subsequent UK Salvation Army officer social work and corps appointments.
